Training Module

Introduction

The Trainees Modules give detailed content for each of the five training modules. Each of the modules is designed as stand-alone and can be accessed individually to suit the training need of the trainee. The modules are accompanied by illustrative videos and training slides that the trainees can easily navigate. Each module is linked to detailed reference material that provides the trainee with additional knowledge. At the end of each module, the Trainee is invited to conduct a self-assessment of the module as feedback, which can be used to further improve the training package.
Module 3: Modelling The practice for sustainability

Objective: The objective of this module is to interrogate the common practices in water and waste management in the informal sector with a view to offering options and opportunity for building sustainable practices.

Module 4: Conceptualizing sustainability in water and waste management at local, national and global level

Objective: The objective is to locate local actions within the framing of sustainability as it applies to the local, national and global levels.

Module 5: Coordination. Advocacy and lobbying

Objective: The objective is to explore legitimate avenues for sustained lobbying and advocacy to legitimize operations of the informal actors

Module 00: Evaluation

Self-administered evaluation format is incorporated to measure the level of satisfaction of the Trainees as well as invite areas that may require improvements in the training package. At the end of each training module, the trainees are encouraged to perform the evaluation using the tool provided.
